Humboldt Park Patriots - AI Caricature Booth: Participation Terms

The AI Caricature Booth is a free activity run by Humboldt Park Patriots (“we”) at our events in Chicago, Illinois. By taking part, you agree to these terms.

1. Photos of Children

You must be 18 or older to use the booth. By ticking the required box, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of every child in your photo [TO CONFIRM: or that you have permission from each child’s parent or guardian], and you consent, for yourself and for them, to the photo being turned into a caricature as described here. We only collect information about children from their parent or guardian.

2. What We Collect and Why

We collect your name, email address and mobile phone number, and optionally whether you are a current Patriots family and your children’s first names and ages. We use this only to run the booth and, if you opt in, to contact you about our program, registration, games and events. We never sell your information. We do not use your photo or caricature in advertising or case studies without asking you first.

Your name, phone number and children’s details can be saved in your phone’s browser to pre-fill the form next time; tap “Not you? Clear my details” to remove them.

Your photo is sent to an AI image service (OpenAI, through Microsoft Azure or directly) only to draw the caricature. We keep the original photo for up to 14 days, then delete it permanently. Your caricature appears on the big screen at the event for up to 24 hours; your name and your children’s details are never shown. We keep your contact details [TO CONFIRM: while you stay subscribed, and no longer than 24 months after your last contact with us].

3. No Facial Recognition

The booth does not use facial recognition and does not identify anyone. We do not create or store face geometry, face templates or any other biometric identifier or biometric information, as defined in the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA).

4. Email (Optional)

If you ticked the email box, we may email you news and updates about our program and events. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

5. Text Messages (Optional)

If you ticked the text-message box, you agree to receive recurring marketing text messages from Humboldt Park Patriots at the mobile number you provided, about our program, registration, games and events. Messages may be sent using automated technology. Consent is not a condition of taking part or of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. [TO CONFIRM: Your first message will ask you to confirm your subscription, and we will not send marketing texts until you do.] Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

6. Contact and Deletion

The caricature is made by AI for fun, and we cannot control exactly how it looks. To ask a question, or to have your details, your children’s details, your photo or your caricature deleted, contact Humboldt Park Patriots at [TO CONFIRM: HPP contact email address].
